We are pleased to announce the publication by our British colleagues Sophie Fuggle, Charles Forsdick and Katharina Massing of the collective work Framing the Penal Colony
Representing, Interpreting and Imagining Convict Transportation
, based on the work of the international symposium held at the National Justice Museum in Nottingham in 2019.

Charles and Sophie have actively contributed to the work of CoPALC by participating in the seminar cycle of the Franco-Brazilian Chair in 2021.

Samuel Tracol, a CoPALC member, and Glória Alhinho, of Georgetown University and also a participant in the CoPALC chair in 2021, have published a chapter : Writing the French Penal Colony: Starting from the End with Patti Smith and Jean Genet.
